Restrict Embedding to Only Specified Domains?

Postby craichead on Wed Apr 29, 2009 1:43 am

I'm running a membership site and need to restrict the embedding of my videos to only my url. Is there a way to do this? I've seen this feature on vimeo. Wonder how one would go about it with Kaltura. Right now, anyone can take the embed code and put it on their own website and it'll work. I know that the widget can be made so that the share button doesn't show but even still, you just have to look at the source, copy & paste, etc...

Thanks

As far as I'm aware, this is not possible. Everything you upload to Kaltura is under a Creative Commons license. If you wish to use a different license, and restrict who has access to your content, you'll need to get in touch with them and pay a small fee to upgrade your account.

Hi guys,

Soon (very soon) we will release the new version of the management console and it will be an option of the security configuration to control and restrict syndication of content to other sites.
Currently this is done per/partner by directly contacting Kaltura's professional support - http://corp.kaltura.com/support/form/project/16 .
